FAQs

We know weddings come with questions—especially when there’s a ferry involved. We’ve rounded up the most common ones to help you plan, pack, and party stress-free. If you’re still unsure about something, feel free to reach out—we’re happy to help (or point you to someone who is)!

  • For the welcome party: Cocktail attire is welcome. Sport coats for men and cocktail dresses for women. Think elevated, not overdressed. Bonus points for linen, bold prints, or anything you’d wear to sip a cocktail at golden hour.

For the ceremony & reception: Please join us in formal attire. Think polished suits & ties for men and mid-to-floor-length dresses for women in breathable fabrics and soft hues. But we’re on an island—feel free to play with florals, coastal colors, linen, and breezy glam.
(Leave the tuxes and sequins at home; we’ll save those for another time.)

  • Potentially! The Vineyard, and specifically Farm Neck, is full of lovely grassy expanses that you may want a photo or two on. While the main events are taking place on solid ground, we would recommend a block heel. And, there will be mandatory dancing (and lots of it), so maybe bring a backup pair or choose something stylish and survivable.

  • Somewhere between a coastal dream and a humid surprise. Expect 70s and sunny… but bring a layer in case New England decides to get moody. We’ve seen fog, heat waves, and perfect sunsets—all in the same weekend. Pack for all climates.

  • We’ve got hotel recs and Airbnb tips on the Accommodations page. Book early—June fills up fast on the island! We are not doing a formal hotel block, but we have variety of options listed on our website.

  • Yes! We’ll have shuttles to take you from the church to the reception and from the reception to the after party/Edgartown.

  • Yes - but we don’t recommend it! Hop on the bus and enjoy the ride! There is plenty of parking at our reception location, however you may struggle to park in Edgartown at our ceremony.

  • Yes! Uber and Lyft are available on island, as well as taxis. We recommend staying in and around Edgartown though to limit the need for car services.
